SO JACKED ON JESUS!!!

Greerland got invaded by Jesus's Love this afternoon. It was awesome. But it didn't start off awesome. I was with Marit, who is my favorite, but we both were in such a bad mood. We got coffee first. And we got rejected by a lot of people.

There was an ex Jehovah's witness turned Mormon who did not want to hear from us at all. A Catholic lady who doesn't practice anymore bud had sweet pants. She rejected us. There was an old man on a motorized scooter chair thing who didn't want to hear it. There was a lady with an empty shopping cart on a residential street who yelled "NO!" at us, and other not so nice things and ran away from us. There was another lady with nice pants, but she didn't want to talk to us either.

There was some tween Maori boys who I was talking to and were interested, but then some old man came and yelled at me and told me to leave them alone, then told them to beware of "Americans because they are trying to take you away to America". Ummmm, OK. First of all I am NOT American, and Marit is clearly German, and second of all, do you know how hard it is to get into America? I'm pretty sure I couldn't take those children there if I tried. Also, I just wanted to spread Jesus' love. But whatever. That guy totally gave me the creeps, I was scared he was going to beat those children for talking to me. He needed Jesus, but I was terrified of him. I am pretty sure he was demon infested.

But we chatted with this lovely Samoan lady named Malama. She is in New Zealand visiting her sister who lives here. She has been here for 6 months and is going back to Samoa tomorrow. She was Christian and loved Jesus and really encouraged us. We prayed with her and she was soooo cool. She made us feel better about evangelizing.

There were also a couple of 16 year old kids sitting on a park bench with their dog. The girl's name was Shannen and the boy was Conor and the dog was Lana (I think). Marit and I went to talk to them. We met their dog and petted her and introduced ourselves. Then we asked if they knew Jesus. Shannen said that she knew of him but didn't actually know him. So we asked if we could tell them a bit about Him. And they said "Yeah sure!" This was so exciting, usually people start turning and running away when you ask this question. So I got so jacked and started preaching the simple gospel to them, telling them about who Jesus is and how he came to Earth to save all of us from our sins and through him we can be saved. I told them that Jesus is alive and He is here and he wants a relationship with them and He loves them SO MUCH. They seemed pretty interested in this, so I asked if I could tell them my testimony and they said "Yeah sure!" Yay! So I told them my story and they were so into it, like didn't break eye contact, and they got really excited about it. Marit told them about God's joy and then they started laughing, and man, we could all feel the joy. It was so cool. We asked if they were interested in accepting Jesus into their life and told them how to do it, and they said yes, but not yet. So we invited them to Church tonight and I think they will come! So I am so excited to see them tonight!!! I also am adding them on facebook! Yayyyyyyyy

Right before we left we saw a blind man across the street, so Johanna and Hannah went over to anoint him with oil from Jordan and pray for healing. Then everyone joined them. We all prayed over him and layed hands on him for a while and then we sang Amazing Grace. And have I mentioned how musical we all are? It was so beautiful and harmonized.. and the words are:

Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now am found
Was blind and now I see

It was so powerful. The man, Maha, was so moved. He teared up. But he didn't end up being healed. We will continue to pray for him.
