The CD Concert!!!

What a busy day!!!! I am so tired! It was mass chaos with the preparations for the CD concert. All of the musoh's were running around like chicken with their heads cut off trying to practice all of our songs. I was pretty lucky because I have had my song done for a long time and have practiced a lot over the last couple of weeks with my back-up singers and violin. So I just had to get time to practice with Miranda drumming.

So, since I am such a nice person, I wrote a song to the memory verse which we have to have memorized by tomorrow morning. And since I am leading worship in the morning, I will teach it to everyone. Yay! So everyone that didn't have time to learn it yet (which is everyone), will get to learn it to a catchy tune. I'm pretty excited.

But worship may or may not be quite a gong show. We practiced all together tonight after the concert for the first time, because everyone has been too busy to meet before now. I felt bad for making them stay up late, but it had to be done. It was chaos. But it's good that we got our chaos out of the way now, so that it can be good in the morning... right?

The CD concert was so awesome. All of the musoh's performed the songs that we will be recording this weekend. I am so proud of everyone! All of the songs were so amazing! OMYGOSH. I just can't believe it. I can't wait to record this weekend! And I can't wait to hear the CD. Oh man. So exciting. And little Nomes wouldn't show me her song before the concert because 'It is so bad', but it was SO GOOD! She had Tiff play a crazy awesome piano accompaniment and Nomes sang so pretty! I can't wait for the CD! Everyone else did amazing too!

When I went it was so funny. I messed up the words for the second verse and instead of just powering through I stopped and restarted the verse. Ooops. I messed up my musicians too. The drum got all awkward for a minute and the violin screeched. Bahha. Oh steph. I'm so good at life. But it was actually so fun. I love showing people my songs, whether they are good or not!

After the concert was done, I told my worship team that they could have a 5 minute pee break while I ran to get the music sheets. When I got back to the GAP with the music, Marit grabbed me and was like "Steph, you have to come with me now, I need to talk to you. And she had Noems with her too." Her voice was all urgent and I thought she was about to burst into tears or something, or maybe that she was really mad and needed to vent. So she started to walk me and Nomes down towards our cottage, I thought that we would just go to the field area near our cottage where I cried last night, but she started to walk us down the hill to the outdoor pool. There is a relatively narrow gravel path that goes through some trees down a hill, and at the bottom is a big field. It was dark and creepy, and I was whining "Oh, why do we have to go all the way down here...." and "We have to hurry because I have worship practice now..." And Marit was like "yeah. yeah" Hurrying us along.

Then I noticed that Kiwi Hannah, Rebekah, Anne, Elisa and some other people too maybe, were following behind us at a suspicious distance. And Nomes tried to get her cell phone out to light the path and Marit made her put it away. I was really suspicious. And I was a little nervous, but I trusted that Marit wouldn't lead me into the woods to be met by a serial killer or something, and there are no wild predators here, so there was no danger of meeting a Bear, or a Moose or something terrifying.

And when we came to the field I could see some male figures standing in the dark, in a line. Then some music started to play, and a flash light came on and Matt asked Nomes to dance, Van asked Elisa to dance and Schnegg asked me to dance. And Henk and Brent serenaded us with 'I won't give up' by Jason Mraz. And we danced under the stars. It was so cute. And then they apologized for leaving some of us girls out of the last dance last night. Man, if Schnegg and I weren't 'it's complicated' right now, it would have been so romantic.

Then the boys escorted us back up to our cottages. For some reason I was a lot less scared walking with Schnegg than I was with Marit... Hahah! I love you Marit! I am so thankful for the great guys that we have here. They are so sweet! Aweeeeeee.
