How Long Does Jet Lag Last?

Yesterday in Matamata was quite eventful. First stop was Warehouse which is basically the Kiwi equivalent of Walmart, except I'm pretty sure that Warehouse doesn't have any sweatshops. I got some toothpaste, toothbrush, razor etc. (woot now I can shave my armpits!). I also got some journaling paraphernalia, a much needed toque and mittens. The mittens were quite a steal of a deal because it is spring here, so they were on sale... for $1 NZ which is like 79 cents CAN. Woah. They are purple with the little flap thing so that my fingers can be covered or bare. The only downside is their purple-ness and the fact that they are sort-of sparkly (they were in the children's section so I guess that is to be expected) and they have an ugly bow on them. But hey, they keep my little fingies warm :).

The second stop was the grocery store where I stalked up on fruit and gluten, dairy, egg free snacks. mmmmmm.

Then Matt, Hannah and I found a lovely coffee shop ran by a guy from Ireland. The soy latte was so delicious.

Then I had a truly Kiwi experience... I went 'Op Shopping' which means thrift shopping (my favorite thing in any language) and I bought a lovely winter jacket for $10 NZ. Yay for not freezing anymore :).

There is one guy here from Switzerland. He speaks French. I have decided that I am going to learn French while I am here. One of the only words that I remember from French in school is 'cauchon' which means 'pig', or at least that's what I thought it meant. Apparently it is actually some sort of dirty insult. Ooops. My bad..

Today everyone told their life stories. It was so intense. Most people cried. Then we prayed. I am really excited for all of the healing that God has in store for us!

Tomorrow lectures will start so I better get some sleep!!!!! It is only 10 PM here, but 4 AM at home so my body thinks that I am torturing it. I hope that jet-lag ends soon.

Also, I bought dairy/gluten free chocolate. Yummmmm...
